Name Change In January of 2005, our organization took on the new name and new identity of OEC Business Interiors, Inc. For the past 50 years, we have enjoyed much success and recognition as Office Equipment Company of Chicago. However, in that time, the industry and our organization have evolved significantly. When Office Equipment Company was founded, we had a single purpose "to provide our customers with quality business furnishings". Back then, the term "office equipment" was used to describe basic office furniture (desks, chairs, tables, files, etc.). Thus our name was very appropriate. Since then, our industry has changed dramatically, and as a result, we have evolved into a much more expansive organization. We now offer a broader range of products and services than ever before. Today, aside from the quality office furnishings that we still provide, we have grown into a fully integrated interior solutions provider. From furniture to lighting, floor covering to wall covering, technology products to interior architecture, furniture services to facility services, we've become experts in all aspects of the work environment. As a continuation of our evolution, it was time that our company name more appropriately expressed our business focus today. With that in mind, we have changed our name and identity to OEC Business Interiors, Inc.
